TOBA TEK SINGH: Two teenagers committed suicide in their homes over marriage refusal on Sunday in Chak 243 RB Kharlanwala, Faisalabad.

Police said that Allah Ditta informed them that his niece Sana Bibi (17) had committed suicide. When Factory Area DSP and Roshan Wala police SHO reached the home, her mother Kiran Rani told them that her daughter Sana wanted to marry a boy named Daniyal. The family had rejected the proposal over which she hanged herselffrom the ceiling fan and died.

Later, Daniyal Javed (18) also committed suicide in his home by hanging himself from the ceiling fan. The bodies of the deceasedhadbeenhanded over to their parents by the police.

ARRESTED: A youth was arrested for killing his mother and injuring his father and brother in Jaranwala Chak 651/2 GB in Faisalabad district on Sunday.

In an FIR registered by the Lundianwala police under sections 302 and 324 of the PPC, Muhammad Awais claimed that his deceased mother Sajida Perveen was offering Fajr prayerwhen the accused had an altercation with her over pocket money.

Over this, he claimed, accused Muhammad Faisal fired on her head and she died instantly.

The FIR said that when the complainant and his father Zulfiqar Ali attempted to stop him, he fired on them and they were injured as a result.

Police said the accused had been arrested.

HONOUR KILLING: Bhussi police in Toba arrested the husband and brother of a woman for allegedly killing her for honour in Chak 743 GB.

SHO Attaullah told reporters that deceased Saima Bibi, wifeof Mudassar Habib, eloped with a man of her village. He said she was brought back by her accused husband through a panchayat.

He said the accused and his brother-in-law, the brother of the deceased, Muhammad Nadeem allegedly strangled her to death with a rope.

ANIMAL TRADERS: Two animal traders were arrested by the Jhang Satellite police for allegedly torturing a woman who was caught for stealing Rs170,000 from the traders at the cattle market.

Police said accused Ghulam Abbas and Aurangzeb tied Iram Bibi with ropes and tor-tured and paraded her in the cattle market.

ENCOUNTER: An underarrest robber was allegedly killed in an encounter by the Satellite Town police in Jhang on Sunday.

Police claimed that outlaw Wajid Kaluana was being taken for recovery on his indication when the police van was attacked by his accomplices near Sanpal Chowk.

Police said that in the firing exchange, he was seriously injured and was shifted to the Jhang DHQ hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police claimed that he was involved in 18 robberies and thefts.
