De-seating threats won`t work: PTl

LAHORE: Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed has said the rulers cannot cow down the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf by hurling threats of deseating its parliamentarians.

Speaking to different delegations at his office here on Wednesday, he said the PTl would continue fighting the masses` battle for their due rights.

He said the PML-N and the PPP had plundered the country and time was approaching for their accountability. He said the change had become inevitable under the leadership of party chairman Imran Khan.

Mr Rasheed said only PTl could help the masses get rid of corruption, price hike and joblessness and other crises that plagued the country.

He said the PTl was still doing a politics of `muk muka` and could not befool the masses anymore. He said the PML-N rulers had failed to generate electricity to end loadshedding in its two years of absolute power.

Meanwhile, PTl Chairman`s political adviser Ejaz Chaudhry said the PML-N was using tactics to delay the local body polls in view of its defeat. He said that PTl candidates would go door-to-door and spread party`s manifesto.

Speaking to party workers from different union councils at NA-127 central office, he said the PTl was ready to contest election against its opponents with complete preparation. He said the PML-N was afraid of going to local body elections for fear of defeat. The PTl would not allow the PML-N to run from the LG polls, he assened.-Staff Reponer
