PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) claimed on Friday that during its ongoing drive against power theft it had succeeded in decreasing line losses by one per cent.
This was disclosed by Pesco Chief Executive Officer Anwarul Haq Yousafzai while giving a presentation to the Pesco`s board of directors regarding its performance here.
Mr Yousafzai vowed that he would do his best for betterment of the company. He said Pesco employees had to become efficient in resolving consumers` complaints. Similarly, he requested the public to remove kundas (illegal connections) so that they could benefit from the relief given in loadshedding.
A statement issued here said the boards` 109th meeting was held at Wapda House Peshawar with its Chairman Malik Mohammad Asad Khan in the chair. The company`s secretary presented minutes of the previous meeting which were approved after discussion.
The participants appreciated the efforts made by Mr Asad to curtail expenditures of the power utility.
