SBCA terms two Gadap Town construction projects illegal

KARACHI: The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) on Monday declared two construction projects in Gadap Town Anablya Enclave and Al-Sifa Garden-as illegal and advised people not to purchase any space or invest in any of these projects.
Responding to Dawn`s queries, SBCA chief Agha Maqsood Abbas said that `the land mafia` was constructing these two projects located on Manghopir Road in Gadap Town and that the SBCA had neither processed their documents nor had they been allowed to sell the space in these projects.
He urged people not to invest in these illegal projects or they would lose their hard-earned money.
The SBCA chief added that teams of the authority had carried out demolitions against various illegal constructions in different areas of the city including Gulshan-i-Iqbal, PECHS, Liaquatabad, New Karachi, Jamshed Town, Nazimabad etc on Monday.
