OKARA: A man shot dead his two wives in Mauza Feroze village on Sunday.

Reports said Ejaz had contracted second marriage with Faiz Bibi after he got no child from his first wife, Mumtaz Bibi. However, the second wife also remained infertile. Because of dejection and poor financial condition, he shot dead his both wives.

Bodies of both victims were handed over to their respective families.

The Ravi police have registered a case.

BURIED ALIVE: A laborour was buried alive while sinking a well in Mauza Mangan village, some 35kms from the city, on Monday.

Rescue 1122 personnel and police rushed to the spot and succeeded in recovering labourer Shahbaz alive while his colleague could not survive. Correspondent
