THIS is apropos the letter regarding gingqis (Sept 16). Qingqis were the cheapest mode of transport for the middle-class, the elderly and students. Their passengers were not crammed like they are in busses and wagons.
They drove at medium speed, posing the least danger to passengers.
The decision to ban gingqi rickshaws in Karachi is most unfair for Karachiites.
The ban has made thousands of people jobless. The government should reconsider its decision.
