Police IT projects upgrade

LAHORE: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mushtaq Sukhera has said up-gradation of all ongoing IT projects would be completed by January next.

He was addressing a meeting held at the Central Police Office (CPO) on Thursday.

IT Board Chairman Umar Saif, DIG IT Shahid Hanif and Punjab DIG Operations Aamir Zulfiqar were present.

The IGP said that some 715 police stations of the province would be upgraded and FIRs and reports would be registered online from January 2017.

Mr Umar Saif welcomed police chief`s efforts to start IT projects including human resource management system, criminal record management, bio-metric attendance system, homicide units and 8787 public complaint centers.
