MANSEHRA: Two girls and a boy were killed and a girl suffered critical injuries as the wall of a house collapsed in Shania Bala Dodial area here on Tuesday evening.

Mohammad Sabir told reporters that four minor members of his family, including three girls and a boy, all cousins, were buried alive after the boundary wall of the second storey of the house collapsed.

He said the children were playing when the incident occurred.

The resident said the children were shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced three of them, including Shabana, Safeer and Ramsha, dead and referred Sadia to the Ayub Medical Complex, Abbottabad, where her condition was stated to be critical.

Meanwhile, the Baffa-Pakhal tehsil administration on Tuesday razed illegal buildings along the Bajna-Peera Road here.

A joint team of the TMA and the revenue department led by assistant commissioner Rabia Abbasi conducted the drive.

“We had served encroachers with notices before start of the operation to voluntarily raze the structures, but they didn’t pay heed,” tehsil municipal officer Sajjad Haider Khan told reporters following the operation. — Correspondent
