RAWALPINDI: A 20-member Standing Committee of the National Assembly on Defence reached Miranshah, North Waziristan, on Tuesday.

The committee will be briefed on the ongoing intelligence-based operations, border management, including the fencing along the Pak-Afghan border, and construction of border posts and forts, according to an ISPR press release.

The delegation will also be informed about the projects initiated for socio-economic uplift of the area, including modern sports facilities for local youth to provide them with opportunities to compete at the national level.-APP
