BoK earns Rsl.2 billion after tax profit

PESH AWAR: Bank of Khyber (BoK) has earned Rs1.2 billion after tax profit during the third quarter of the current year.

A statement issued here said that the third quarterly ending on September 30, BoK after tax profit stood at Rs1.20 billion and it was 46 per cent higher than the profit earned during the same period of preceding year.

It said that third quarterly statements were approved in a meeting chaired by KP additional chief secretary and Chairman BoK board of directors Dr Hammad Uwais Agha.

The meeting was also attended by BoK managing director Shamsul Qayyum, KP secretary finance Ahmed Hanif Orakzai and board member Rashid Ali Khan.

The meeting was informed that the bank operating profit stood at Rs2.3 billion, which was about Rs1.4 billion during the same period last year.

It said that value of bank net assets stood over Rs1.484 trillion and the same number was Rs1.109 trillion during the same period of preceding year.

It said that till September 30 the bank had invested about Rs89.6 billion and this amount stood at Rs64.7 billion last year.
