LIKE many other social ills, the menace of perjury and forgery has become synonymous with our Pakistani society.
Despite legal powers, our courts have still to get active on the job to discourage and weed out the curse of perjury and forgery from society, with special reference to cases before courtsfor trial.
I have heard about many perjury and forgery doers who managed fake domiciles and permanent resident certificates (PRCs) and got jobs in government organisations and received other benefits while this scheming kept genuine residents of that particular district, region or province deprived, but who cares in this society where perjurers rise to prominence and forgers flourish.
Had our courts and other legal and administrative bodies punished the perjurers and forgers, there would have been social justice in society.
