ISLAMABAD:The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will complete the ongoing renovation, expansion and development work at Benazir Bhutto Airport (BBIA) by January 2015.
Talking to APP, the CAA spokesman, Mubarak Shah said the authority was making all possible efforts to enhance the parking area, expand the international departure lounge and create space for installation of
latest security equipments, and extra passengers` check-in counters.
He said the airport was facing space congestion with the increasing number of foreign airlines operation.
However, he said the top management of the authority was taking practical steps to bring improvements.
The spokesman said the expansion work included space for installation of latest security equipments, extra passengers` check-in counters and spacious area for passengers movement.—APP
