Over 100 LGH employees regularised

LAHORE: The Lahore General Hospital management distributed regularisation letters to its more than 100 contract employees in a ceremony organised at the institute here on Saturday.

The Paramedical Staff Association (PSA) has been protesting for many years for the regularization of contract employees of the LGH.

The board of management of the LGH had forwarded a case of these employees to the health department for consideration.

Adviser to Chief Minister on Health Khwaja Salman Rafique, Postgraduate Medical Institute Principal Prof Anjum Habib Vohra and LGH Medical Superintendent Dr Junaid Mirza addressed the ceremony.

Many PSA office-bearers, including Yusaf Billa, Rahmat Sindhu, Rana Pervaiz, Arshad Butt, Khalid Gondal, Amin Salamat, Majeed Raj, Malik Hanif, Amanat Ali, and Arshad Meo, were also present.

Dr Vohra told the participants that another proposal was also under consideration in which risk allowance of Rs1,500 would also be given to Class-IV employees.
