ACCORDING to media reports, a 15-yearold girl had been kidnapped from Rana Town and subjected to gang-rape by 10 people after being hurled into a car.
The girl`s mother took the matter to the police and named 10 persons, including one Mian Adnan, who has been identified as PSO to our provincial education minister and additional secretary-general of the PML-N youth wing.
There are two contradictory reports.
One, that the prime accused has been apprehended and the other that the DIG contradicts.
DNA tests are being conducted by forensic laboratories and so on. In other words, these confusing reports are being concocted to shelve the matter. The PML-N is involved; hence the prime suspect is untouchable I suppose.
How far are we going to go in protecting these untouchables? The ugly situation and events in Sindh are before us where suspects are either VIPs or even VVIPs and, therefore, we cannot apprehend them.
Let justice prevail for once even if it is for a change.
