23 animals die as dairy farm caves in

TOBA TEK SINGH: The roof of a dairy farm caved in late Sunday in Chak 204RB, Faisalabad, and as a result, 23 animals died.

The shed collapsed due to rain, according to farm owner Rana Javed Rashid.

He said six buffaloes and 17 cows died.

Rescue 1122 removed heavy debris with a crane and provided first aid to injured cattle.

KILLED: A Jhang Satellite Town police constable was killed in a fire set by an arrested man`s accomplices on Monday in Islamabad`s Bhara Kahu police station area.

A Jhang police official said that a police party raided a house to arrest five suspects wanted in an attempt to murder case registered by Jhang Satellite police on July 18, 2022, and arrested one of them, Tariq Khan.

He said that in the meantime, his accomplices opened indiscriminate fire on the police party and killed Constable Ikhlaqu1 Hasan. The body was brought to Jhang.

COMMI S SIONE R: Faisalabad CommissionerSilwat Saeed visited the Allied Hospital and directed Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Arshad Cheema to cancel the parking fee contract after she received complaints of overcharging the visitors.

She also inspected various wards and asked the MS to ensure that diabetes patients received insulin vials and medicines.

In her first meeting with divisional and district officials, she directed them to monitor timely payment to farmers by sugar mills against the supply of sugarcane and to nab hoarders of urea fertilizer.

BURNT: A woman was burned alive, and her minor son and her sister-in-law were injured when a fire broke out in their hut outside Chak 456-GB in Faisalabad on Sunday night.

Younis Oadh informed the police that during torrential rain, wood was burnt in a hut and the fire spread.

Zubaida Bibi, her son Naveed and his sister Ishrat Bibi received serious burn wounds.

They were rushed by Rescue 1122 ambulance to the Allied Hospital where Zubaida succumbed to her wounds.
