MUZAFFARGARH: A tanker carrying acid overturned on Jhang Road near Shumali Khangin while overtaking a tractor-trolley on Monday.

According to Rescue 1122 and eyewitnesses, the tanker carrying sulfuric acid was going from Sargodha to Multan when it overturned while over-taking a tractor-trolley laden with sugarcane. As a result, hundreds of litres of acid spilled on the road.

They said the tanker driver and helper, who remained safe in the accident, called the Rescue 1122 officials, informing them about the incident.

A team of rescuers arriving at the scene cordoned off the spot where the acid was spilled to avoid any harm to the public.
