Hashim Rathore joined Sundial Advertising in 1982 as media executive. In 1987, he joined Blazon as senior manager operations. In 1997 he moved to Brainchild Communications as COO, Brainchild Communications and CEO Medivest Pakistan.

He is their Group Executive Director.Asim Raza Asim Raza joined the architectural firm Arshad Shahid Abdullah after completing his Master`s from Bartlett School of Architecture. He then moved into filmmaking and made his debut as a feature film director and producer with the film Ho Mann Jahaan in 2016. Rez is ranked among the Top 15 creative directors in the world by The Directory.Rohana Saigol Rehana Saigol established Charismads in 1977, a fullservice agency and the first to be headed by a woman. In 1983, she established Private Collection, a fine jewellery business. In 1984, Charismads merged with Interflow.

Between 1987 and 1988, she founded the Association of Women Entrepreneurs and in 1990, she was appointed by Benazir Bhutto`s Task Force to work on exports. The same year she established a multi-label fashion outlet named The Shop, of which she is currently the MD.Sabene Saigol Sabene Saigol founded RED Communication Arts at the age of 21 in 1996. She has made RED one of Pakistan`s leading agencies, which is now affiliated with the Publicis Group. She launched RED into digital by establishing a digital content creation wing.S.M. Shahid S.M. Shahid established Oscar Advertising in 1963 and played a pivotal role in organising the First Pakistan Advertising Congress in 1979 as well as AdAsia 89.

Shahid, a devoted student of Indian classical music, has written several books on the topic.Saeed Shiraz Saeed Shiraz`s career in the film industry ranges from production and editing to distribution and advertising.

His career highlights include production for Aina and Zindagi and his role as Outdoor Shooting Organiser for the Pakistan/Indonesia joint venture Bandish. He did voice-overs for film, TV and radio spots for 50 years. Since 1972, he has been running Adviews Advertisers which specialises in film advertising for print.Zahill Shiraz Zahid Shiraz founded PICADS, one of Pakistan`s first agencies targeting cinema and film in 1966. In 1973 he managed the advertising and distribution for the National Film Development Corporation (NAFDEC). He worked as marketing director for Sharjah`s Cricketers` Benefit Fund Series (CBFS) and managed the advertising and marketing for the ICC World Cup 1996. He served as marketing director for Avari Hotels until his death in 2007.Mahmud Sipra Mahmud Sipra, a prominent businessman and filmmaker, began his career with SASA Advertising in Karachi. He is best known for producing the Hollywood film The Jigsaw Man. Sipra authored the best-selling novel Pawn to King Three, published in England in 1985. He passed away in 2018.Adnan Syed Adnan Syed is an architect by training. He started his advertising journey in 1994 at his father`s agency Adcom as design director. In 2012 he left as chief creative officer to become CEO of Green Man`s Ark. He has been adjunct faculty at both the Indus Valley School and Karachi University for over a decade. He is Chief Information Officer, Adcom Leo Burnett.Imran Syed Imran Syed was educated at MIT and Harvard. In 1997 he retumed to Pakistan to join his father`s agency Adcom. His mission has been to make Adcom an agency of the future through an enviable roster of brands and integrated-work that has digital at heart. Adcom entered into an affiliation with Leo Bumett Worldwide in late 2015. He is CEO, Adcom Leo Bumett.Rashill Umar Thanvi Rashid Umar Thanvi established Marketing & Audio Visual Communications (MAC) in 1985 in Lahore. He served as chairman Pakistan Advertising Association (PAA) for two terms.

He has to his credit a hundred plays and serials which he wrote for PTV. He received the first NEC (now PTV) Award for producing the serial Khuda Ki Basti. In 1981 she moved to the Star as editor. In 1986, she joined Spectrum Y&R, where she is currently Chief Creative Officer. Yusuf served as Chairperson, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan from 2011 to 2017.MEDIA Aslam Allenwalla Aslam Adenwalla began his working life by opening a medical store in Saddar, Karachi. In 1960 he joined Dawn and set up the newspaper`s classified department.

In 1963 he established Adenwalla Advertisers, an agency specialising in classified ads for leading newspapers.

He retired in 1998.Sarmad Ali Sarmad Ali began his career with Saatchi & Saatchi in 1985 as director client services. In 1993, he moved to the Jang Media Group where he is the Group`s Managing Director. He is the president of the All Pakistan Newspaper Society (APNS). He served three times as president of the Marketing Association of Pakistan.Mariam Ali |aig Mariam Ali Baig started her career in 1975 as a copywriter trainee at MNJ Communications; in 1979 she was made Creative Manager at the agency. In 1980 she joined South Publications in London as Marketing Manager; in 1989 she was promoted to the position of Director Marketing Services. She returned to Pakistan in 1993 and joined The Dawn Media Group. In 1998, she oversaw the launch of Aurora. She is Editor, Aurora.Masood Hamid Masood Hamid was a mediamarketing professional associated with The Dawn Media Group for 28 years and rose to the position of Director Marketing. He built one of the finest marketing teams for TheDawn Media Group and was responsible for initiating groundbreaking exhibitions, events and conferences.

These include Vision Pakistan 2010 (1997) and IT: The Future of Pakistan (2000). He launched DAWN All About Lifestyles in 2001, DAWN Education Expo in 2004 and the DAWN Food & Agri Expo in 2010. He passed away in 2015.Shanul Haq Haqqee Shanul Haq Haqqee was a weII known Urdu poet, writer, journalist and lexicographer. He began his career at Grant Advertising after migrating from India and worked as creative director at United Advertisers after retiring from PTV as general manager sales. He was the first secretary of the Urdu Dictionary Board. He published two anthologies of Urdu poetry. He died in 2005.Saneeya Hussain Saneeya Hussain began her career at MNJ Communications as a copywriter in 1978. In the early eighties she joined The Star Weekend as an editor. Later she joined the International Union for Conservation of Nature where she established a Journalist Resource Centre to train journalists in environmental reporting. In 2002, she moved to Panos South Asia, as regional head. She was one of Pakistan`s most prominent communicators in the field of conservation and the environment. She passed away in 2005.Zuhra Karim Zuhra Karim is the Founding Editor of She magazine, which she established in 1963 after graduating from the London School of Economics in the late fifties.Zain Kisat Zain Kisat is a seasoned media professional with 14 years association with The Dawn Media Group as general manager advertising. He was very popular and wellrespected among his colleagues in the print media industry.Zia-utlin Kisat Zia-ud-Din Kisat is a media professional associated with The Dawn Media Group for over 45 years. She retired from Radio Pakistan in 1989. In 1990, she established the Karachi chapter of the Disabled People`s International (DPI) where she worked for 20 years. She passed away in May 2015.Anwer Mooraj Anwer Mooraj joined Dawn in the sixties as assistant editor. He oversaw the transformation of The Illustrated Weekly of Pakistan into the Herald and became its founding editor in 1970. In 1982, he joined Gulf News as Managing Director and Editor. From 1990 to 2004, he was CEO of the Pak-American Cultural Centre (PACC).
