RAWALPINDI: A prisoner convicted in a murder case died in hospital while two other persons were murdered in separate incidents in R.A. Bazaar and Westridge area.
Ahmad Khan, in his mid-80s, was convicted in a murder case died in the District Headquarters Hospital on Friday.
Police said the prisoner had been serving a life sentence in a murder case of October 2009 of Saddar Brooni police station. He was admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital from Adiala Jailfor treatment but he died in the hospital on Friday.
Mohammad Nasir Ali, a resident of Kalma Chowk lodged an FIR with the R.A Bazaar police saying that his brother Mohammad Abrar Ali was shot dead on Thursday night.
He said that the incident happened when Abrar was returning from university.
The motive behind the murder was enmity.
Mohammad Zunair Sultan, resident of Range Road lodged an FIR with the Westridge police saying that on Thursday night his brother Zubair told him that he was going to the petrol pump at ChoorChowk and would be back within ten minutes.
He said after waiting for a long time he went to see his brother at the petrol pump but could not find him there. He said he started searching for his brother and found him shot dead near Choor Chowk and police standing close to him. He said that he found his brother lying face down with blood coming from his neck. Later his body was shifted to the DHQ hospital for postmortem.
A young man committed suicide by hanging himself in Gulzar-i-Quaid on Friday. The motive behind the suicide was yet to be known.
