QUETTA: A constitutional petition has been filed in the Balochistan High Court, seeking an order for the federal interior minister to lodge a treason case against Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) chairman Mehmood Khan Achakzai.

Malik Muhammad Ajmal Kakar and Khuda-i-Dost said in their petition that their sentiments had been hurt by an interview of Mr Achakzai published in certain newspapers in which he had called Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a part of Afghanistan.

The petitioners said that the PkMAP chairman`s remarks had violated Article 6 of the Constitution.
