Mr. Rehman said that these figures could not be taken as absolutely correct. He would be able to give more accurate figures on return of the Pakistan of ficials from Lahore. He said that the seriousness of the problem could be gauged from the fact that even the Sind Government were obliged to make arrangements for the refugees from the East Punjab. He regretted that the Boundary Force did not prove as ef fective as was expected. The Force it seems was placed there in anticipation of the trouble. It is to be blamed for its failure to check lawlessness in the disputed areas.
