QUETTA: Two suspected militants were killed as security forces launched an operation in the Jhao area of Awaran district on Sunday night.

Official sources said on Monday that security forces had launched the operation after receiving information about the presence of militants in the area.

When they cordoned off the area and launched the search, a heavy exchange of fire took place with the militants.

As a result of exchange of fire, two militants were killed.

Security officials claimed destroying hideouts of the armed men and recovery of a huge quantity of illegal arms and ammunition.
