LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf has demanded an operation against `terrorists and their facilitators in Punjab`.
Commenting upon the presence of the militant Islamic State group in the province, PTI leader Chaudhry Sarwar said it`s the complete failure and incompetency of the Punjab police to identify and isolate militant group`s cells.
He alleged the police were busy in victimisation of political rivals instead of arresting the terrorists.
`The government which has so far been in a state of denial is now admitting presence of the militant group in the country. It proves incompetence of the rulers.
Sarwar said police focus on political rivals created a vacuum for the militant group, therefore, an operation by the armed forces against the terrorists and their facilitators was inevitable. Staff Reporter
