TAXILA: Tributes were paid to former prime minister Benazir Bhutto for her struggle for democracy and rights of the people at a function organised by the PPP Taxila chapter in connection with her 10th death anniversary on Saturday.
Addressing the participants, PPP Punjab women wing general secretary Nargis Faiz Malik, district president Zaheer Sultan, divisional president women wing Shagufta Butt, coordinator women wing Basim Butt and the Taxila chapter president Amir Iqbal Khan said Mr Bhutto always raised voice for the rights of the people and againstdictatorship.
The speakers said Ms Bhutto sacrificed her life for maintaining unity, solidarity and cohesion among the people of all the provinces.
The speakers vowed to complete the mission of their leader who they said was murdered under a conspiracy.
