2015-08-03
CHITRAL: MNA Shahzada Iftikharuddin has demanded of prime minister and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister to take concrete measures to allay the sufferings of people in floodaffected area of Chitral.

He told Dawn here on Sunday that flood-hit areas in Chitral were faced with shortage of flour and other food items. He said that steel bridges should be built in Muzgol,Kosht,0veer,Loanin Mulkhow besides Shogore (Karimabad) and Arkari valleys so that food items particularly flour could be supplied here as flour mills were not functional there.

`I fear the situation will get out of control if the steel bridges are not arranged.

The steel bridges will help people to depend on private sector and market forces instead of depending on the government,` the MNA said.
