Rockets, hand grenades seized in Darra operation

KOHAT: The security and intelligence agencies in a joint search operation in Darra Adamkhel bazaar of Frontier Region of Kohat seized eight rockets and four hand grenades on Friday.
The operation was conducted in Marrakhel and Shikari Markaz camps.
During the operation, the security personnel recovered eight rockets, one time bomb, four hand grenades and one rocket launcher along with four chargers.
Officials said it was the first operation in Darra Adamkhel bazaar since its control was taken over by the security forces in April 2007. The Frontier Constabulary also took part in the action.
POWER OUTAGES: The residents of Sherl(ot staged a protest rally on Kohat-Hangu road against electricity loahdshedding and overbilling on Friday.
The protest was led by Sherkot nazim Ishtiaq Hussain, chairman reconciliatory council Manzir Hussain and Mumtaz Ali. The protesters, including people from Chilli, Badaber, Shandi Gul, Spina Warai and Garhi Allahyar, also chanted slogans against the Peshawar Electric Supply Company.
Mr Mumtaz said that bills were not paid by consumers of other villages on the Alizai feeder, but the people of Sherkot had been punished without any reason. `We are subjected to 20-hour loadshedding daily and sent inflated bills. This is unacceptable and the Pesco, Kohat, should take effective steps to solve our problems,` he said.
They warned that if their problems were not resolved they would stage a sit-in against Pesco in front of the executive engineer`s office.
Meanwhile, a disgruntled group of Pakistan Tehreek-iInsaf ended its yearlong differences with the leadership in the district and announced to work for strengthening of the party.
MPA Zialullah Bangash visited the house of the head of disgruntled group, Mansoor Bangash, and the latter announced to end differences with the party leadership.
