SHANGLA: An industrial zone will be built in Shangla district as part of the ChinaPakistan Economic Corridor project, claims parliamentary secretary for CPEC Dr Ibadullah Khan.

Addressing a public meeting in Katkor area of Chakesar on Monday, he said that CPEC would bring prosperity and economic development to Shangla.

The PML-N MNA criticised the PTI chief Imran Khan for what he said raising hollow slogans of transparency and justice, which he said, were completely missing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said the PTI government had done nothing for the people`s welfare in the province and was embezzling public funds on political gatherings.

The PML-N leader announced 12 power supply schemes and three bridges for the Katkor union council.

He also announced 25 kilometres dirt roads and 12 kilometres blacktopped roads for the UC.

On the occasion, former MPA Fazalullah accused the PTI MPA Abdul Munim of amassing huge assets. He said the PTI lawmaker had disappointed the voters in PK-88 constituency.

He said if Imran Khan were sincere he would not have allowed Mr Munim to sit in the assembly because he had been de-seated by the election commission over violation of election rules. It is to mention here that Mr Munim later got a stay from the PHC against his disqualification by the SC.

C O M P E N S A T I O N SOUGHT: The family of a coalminerwho diedlastyear in Dara Adamkhel due to an explosion inside a mine, has demanded of the government to pay compensation to them.

Talking to reporters on Monday, the wife of deceased Azeem Khan said she had made all the required documents for compensation, and made repeated requests to the authorities in this regard, but to no avail.
