APROPOS of a news report titled `NAB wants PSO chief`s name put on ECL`, which was published in Dawn on May 31, the Pakistan State Oil has clarified that its managing director has sought permission to proceed on earned leave to be with his f amily on Eid.
In a statement, the PSO said: `With regard to the alleged plans of the PSO`s senior management to flee the country in view of an impending probe, the oil company says that the company`s senior management, includ-ing the MD & CEO, is very much in Pakistan and performing its day to day duties.
`As regarding leave application of the PSO MD Shaikh Emran ul Haq, the company clarifies that the said earned leave was requested by him to be with his family on the occasion of Eid and not for obtaining NOC to go abroad.
Also all employees of PSO are entitled to take leaves as per rules and regulations of the company, and in utilising this leave, many of them may choose to travel abroad.
