ISLAMABAD: Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman on Wednesday left for Sweden to highlight the country`s rising climate vulnerability due to the impact of massive environmental degradation at the international Stockholm +50 meeting.

Jointly hosted by Sweden and Kenya, the theme of the meeting is `AHealthy Planet for the Prosperity of All Our Responsibility, Our Opportunity`, says a press release issued by the ministry.

The meeting will go on f rom June 1 till the 3rd.

Senator Rehman will present the official position of G77 and China at the meeting and also meet representativesof various organisations, stakeholders, civil society and the private sector.

Ways to ensure that the +50 conventions are implemented and climate change is tackled adequately will be discussed at the meeting.

Besides this, participants will come up with a strategy to address other issues as well. Staff Reporter
