LANDI KOTAL: Five members of a family were killed in a mysterious blast inside a house in Walo Mela area of Jamrud in Khyber Agency here on Tuesday.

Officials said that the blast occurred at the house of Sharif Gul in the far-off locality of Walo Mela. They said that the nature of the blastcould not be ascertained immediately.

Political tehsildar, Jamrud, Irshad Khan said that two women and three children of the family of Sharif Gul were killed in the explosion.

Official sources said that apparently a gas cylinder exploded inside the house, killing Sharif Gul`s three children, wife and mother. Their names could not be ascertained.
