QUETTA: Four suspected militants were killed and one militant was arrested after an exchange of fire with security forces in Pasni tehsil and Zamran areas of Gwadar and Kech districts, on Tuesday.

Official sources said that secu-rity personnel had raided a house in Kolanch area of Pasni, triggering a clash which left three militants dead. One militant was arrested.

Pasni`s Assistant Commissioner Manoor Ahmed identified the dead as Master Majeed, Subhan, and Jamal. The man arrested was identified as Asghar Ali.

Meanwhile, a suspected militantwas killed and another injured in a gunbattle with security forces in Zamran area of Buleda Tehsil of Kech district. Officials said that armed militants attacked the convoy of the Frontier Corps when it was moving towards the Pak-Iran border area. The FC troops took positions and returned fire, killing one militant and injuring another.
