QAT demands hanging of rally attackers

HYDERABAD: Qaumi Awami Tehreek (QAT) president Ayaz Latif Palijo has demanded hanging of the suspects who have given confessional statements for attacking the Mohabbat-i-Sindh rally of his party on May 22, 2012.

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement suspects, including Hammad Siddiqui, Amir aka Sar Phata, Manzoor aka Manjoo, Amir aka Tarpaee, Kamran Kala, Shahzad Qadri and others should be hanged, he said.

In a statement issued on Thursday, he said action should also be taken against the then Sindh home minister, SSP of the area and others for not providing security to the rally.

The Sindh government was responsible for protecting terrorists which was evident from fact that they were arrested by Rangers, he said.
