LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf has submitted a resolution with the Punjab Assembly secretariat opposing the recent increase in petroleum prices.

Opposition leader Mahmoodur Rashid submitted the resolution on Monday which severely criticised the oil price hike and demanded the federal government should immediately withdraw the decision that was bound to further burden the masses.

The government had on Sunday increased the price of petrol by Rs2.50 per litre and of diesel by Rs1.75 per litre.
