LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) cyber crime wing on Thursday arrested a man involved in Rs50m credit card fraud.
FIA Inspector Rizwan Arshad told Dawn the agency had arrested Khalid Mursaleen in Johar Town on a tip-off and recovered fake credit cards from his possession.
“The suspect, through an MSR machine, printed the credit cards in the name of different credit card holders whose data he had collected through different means,” Mr Arshad said and added that an MSR machine, a printer and a laptop had been recovered from the suspect. He said the suspect had committed a fraud of Rs50m through fake credit cards. A case has been registered against him and investigation is underway.—Staff Reporter
