KARACHl: A 35-year-old man was gunned down by robbers in Korangi on Sunday morning.

While police said that Fazal Wahab was shot dead by unidentified persons near Owais Shaheed Park, Korangi No 4, area residents, who witnessed the scene, told Dawn that he was killed by robbers over resistance.

Korangi SSP Fida Husain Janwari said that three armed men approached the victim, briefly talked with him and shot him dead before fleeing.

He said the deceased hailed from Malakand. He was also about to return back to his native town as a bus fare ticket was found from his pocket.
