GUJRAT: A boat carrying five picnickers capsized in the River Chenab on Saturday, reportedly drowning two of them.
A Rescue 1122 official said a private boat carrying the picnickers had capsized near Kinara Hotel on the riverbank. The body of Faheem Sarwar (35), a resident of Sargodha Road, Gujrat, was recovered while the body of Waseem, the owner of the boat, was still missing. The search for his body would continue on Sunday (today).
The survivors, who were rescued, included two brothers of Waseem who had returned from Italy.
Those rescued were identified as 35-yearold Nadeem, 24-year-old Rahim and 35-year-old Ghulam. Correspondent
