RAWALPINDI: The principal of a private school was arrested for not following the standard operating procedures (SOP) regarding security on Sept 30 and was released on bail on Wednesday.
The principal of the school that operates on the ground floor of a house in Westridge was arrested after the law enforcement agencies found the premises lacking the required security measures.
SI Mohammad Amin, who is leading the investigation into the case, said that during the search, the police found that the school neither has CCTV cameras nor private security guards. The school principal was produced before the court of Area Magistrate Shahid Hameed, who granted him bail on surety bonds worth Rs50,000 and ordered his release.
The arrest led to the administrations of many private schools to demand that the policehigherupssuspend the concerned SHO and the investigating officer for arresting and handcuffing the principal of a school.
