Child injured in SWA blast

WANA: A 10-year-old child was critically injured in a blast when he tried to pick a Rs50 currency note placed on the explosive device near Pak-Afghan border in South Waziristan area on Thursday.

Levies sources said that the incident took place in Jaza Ghunday area of Wana where unknown miscreants had planted an improvised explosive device (IED) near a shop.

A currency note of Rs50 was placed on the explosive device and when the child tried to pick up the money the IED exploded, critically injuring him.

The child, identified as Naseer, was taken to a hospital where his condition was stated to be critical. APP
