PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf has prepared a list of 13 members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly who may receive show-cause notices for violating the party discipline by voting for candidates of rival parties in the recent Senate election, allegedly for pecuniary gains.
`The party has decided in principle to serve show-cause notices on 13 lawmakers, including four women, on Thursday instead of publicly disclosing their names,` said one insider.
He said Chief Minister Pervez Khattak met PTI chairman Imran Khan in Islamabad on Tuesday and handed over inquiry reports carrying names of the said MPAs.
Imran Khan is arriving in Peshawar on Thursday to kick off theparty`smembershipdriveinKhyberPakhtunkhwa.
He is likely to give a statement about horse-trading but will not disclose names of PTI legislators.
`We don`t have solid evidences against these MPAs, therefore, the party has decided not to disclose their names,` the insider said. Imran Khan has already announced that the MPAs, who violated the PTI`s discipline in the Senate election, would be expelled from the party.-Bureau Report
