ISLAMABAD: The government has issued notifications for the implementation of the prime minister`s package worth Rs180 billion for export promotion.

The duration of the package notified through the Statutory Regulatory Orders (SROs) is one and a half years. The subsidy will be paid through the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The textile ministry issued a notification for the textile and clothing sectors about a subsidy amount of Rs162bn. The commerce ministry issued a notification for the payment of Rs18bn to four sectors, namely carpet, sports, surgical and leather.-Staff Reporter
