ISLAMABAD: The capital police on Wednesday claimed that their Special Investigation Unit (SIU) had busted a robbers` gang and arrested its four members.

The SIU team also recovered three 30-bore pistols along with 17 rounds and a dagger from their possession of them, they stated, adding that they confessed to robbing a house on December 24at Arsalan Town in Jhangi Syedan.

Meanwhile, robbers and thieves struck at four places and made off with cash and valuables.

Three armed men entered the house of Wajid Usman located at Ghori Town Phase-3 and looted cash and valuables after taking the residents hostage and managed to escape.

In a similar case, three gunmen raided a house of Dr Amjad Bilal in Shahzad Town and collected cash, gold ornaments and valuables at gunpoint and fled.

A Honda CD-70 of Mehmood Arif was lifted from outside of his house located in I-8/1, the police stated, adding that Mohammad Danish Siddigi`s Honda 125 was stolen from the parking area of a hotel in G-9/4. St aff Reporter
