SHANGLA: The Bisham tehsil administration on Sunday sealed a fuel station and two LPG filling points for profiteering.

Assistant commissioner Khuram Rehman conducted raids on fuel stations and LPG points in Maira and Dandal areas. He found a filing station selling petrol and diesel with tampered meter. He ordered police to arrest its manager and register a case against him.

The official said the sealed LPG agencies were selling the product at Rs170 per kg instead of government-fixed Rs140 per kg. An agency dealer was arrested.

He warned the filing station owners against profiteering.

PRESS CLUB: Labour and culture minister Shaukat Yousafzal has said that a press club for Bisham has been approved.

Talking to mediapersons on Sunday, he said the government had included the press club project in the 201920 Annual Development Programme, thus meeting the longstanding demand of local journalists.

Mr Yousafzai said protecting rights of the coal miners was his priority as a law was being enacted to ensure their safety at the workplace. Correspondent
