TOBA TEK SINGH: Cotton worth millions of rupees was reduced to ashes on Tuesday when the fire broke out in a godown on Samundri Road in Gojra.

Rescue 1122 reported that Muhammad Adnan, a cotton trader, had stocked cotton in a rented warehouse where the fire started due to short circuit. It took several hours to control the fire and in the meantime all stock had been gutted.

Also, the Gojra city police registered on Tuesday a case against a man after the delay of one month for burning his own house in Bihari Colony.

Complainant Sidra Bibi claimed in her first information reported that her parents had gifted her a house and after quarrel, her husband Muhammad Ashraf sprayed petrol and set ablaze the house. The suspect has not so far been arrested. Correspondent
