KARACHI: Karachi Blues bulldozed Dera Murad Jamali`s feeble performance to march the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Grade-II cricket tournament semi-finals with a massive two-day victory here on Monday.

The third-round Pool `B` fixture at the TMC Ground turned out to be a horribly one-sided affair as Karachi Blues ran out overwhelming winners by an innings and 165 runs.

After resuming at 8-2, DMJ were shot out for 86 with slow left-armer Osama Basharat (4-120 and off-spinner Ashig Ali (4-33) sharing the bowling honours.

Following on, DMJ mustered 149 all out in their second innings with Osama and Ashig picking up six wickets in tandem.

Meanwhile, Bahawalpur opener Mohammad Wasim struck an unbeaten 209 to put the hosts in complete control of their pool `A` match against Abbottabad at the Dring Stadium in Bahawalpur.

Wasim`s 258-ball knock contained 21 boundaries and two sixes as Bahawalpur reached 354-7 in reply to Abbottabad`s first-innings tally of 214. The visitors then collected 141-4.

Discarded Pakistan opener Nauman Anwar blasted 138 off 148 balls with the aid of 22 fours to help Sialkot make 258 in response to Larkana`s 228 at the National Stadium.

Larkana were struggling at 86-4 in their second innings.

Zain Abbas scored 103 (203 balls, 14 boundaries) as hosts Multan totalled 288-9 declared before reducing Quetta to 86-3 in second innings at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
