LAHORE: The law-enforcement agencies have taken into custody 31 suspects during search and combing operations launched in the provincial capital in the wake of the international cricket matches being hosted at Gaddafi Stadium.
Police sources said these suspects were arrested in joint raids carried out by the police and the Rangers.
They said most of the suspects were ‘arrested’ from the outskirts of Lahore, including Shahdara, Bund Road and border areas.
During search and combing operations, the sources said, the suspects failed to establish their identity. They have been shifted to an unknown place for further interrogation, they said adding the search operations were launched late on Friday night.—Staff Reporter
