TOBA TEK SINGH: A Khurrianwala police team claimed to have recovered a kidnapped 13-year-old girl and arrested three alleged kidnappers from Sheikhupura on Wednesday.
A police spokesperson claimed that victim Nisha Awais was abducted from her home by unidentified persons on August 31 in Chak 200 RB Lathianwala of Faisalabad.
Police claimed to have traced the whereabouts of the abduct ors through geo-fencing and modern technology, and based on this information, a team raided a house in Sheikhupura and recovered her. Police also arrested three alleged kidnappers, Muhammad Anas, Raees Ahmad and Muhammad Naeem.
The victim was shifted to the Khurrianwala RHC for medical examination.ACCIDENT: A loader motorcycle rickshaw driver died after an earth-laden tractor trolley hit his vehicle near Chak 382 JB Jalalpur on the Toba-Jhang Road on Wednesday.
Rescue 1122 said the deceased, identified as Muhammad Asad (19) of Chak 379 JB Kaloya, was seriously wounded and died instantly.
Police registered a case against the trolley driver, who left his vehicle on the road and ran away from the scene.
CONVICTED: Shahkot Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Mansoor Atta handed down 20 years imprisonment along with a fine of Rs800,000 to a drug seller on Wednesday.
According to the prosecution, the Shahkot City police in 2024 recovered a large quantity ofhashish from convict Khalig Imran and arrested him.
MURDER: A man was allegedlymurdered in Chak 502 GB located on the Bhullay Shah Road in Tandlianwala tehsil on Tuesday night.
According to the Mamukanjan police, Liaqat Ali Salutra (50) was asleep on a charpoy in the street outside his house when unidentified person(s) opened fire on him and he died on the spot.
Police were investigating the incident.
FOOD POISONING: A minor girl died while her mother and three siblings became unconscious after eating a contaminated meal in Chak 659 GB Faisalabad on Wednesday.
Reports said deceased Asma (11), her mother Sadia (39) and three sisters Noor Fatima (8), Ayesha (5) and Adan (3) were shifted to the Dijkot RHC, where Asma died.
The Dijkot police were investigating.
