NOWSHERA: The beheaded body of an employee of Nowshera Cantonment Board was found here on Sunday.

The NCB employee identified as Irfanullah, a resident of Kander area, went missing a day ago.

Lal Shah, the father of the deceased, told police that he left his home asking his mother to prepare dinner for him as he would return soon. “We waited for the him for whole night but he did not return,” he added. On Sunday, Nowshera Kalan police station was informed by unidentified persons at 11am that a beheaded body was lying near Kander village.

Police said that relatives of the deceased identified the body as that of Irfanullah. The body was brought to district headquarters hospital for autopsy. The doctor said that the deceased was beheaded with a sharp razor after firing at him. After fulfilling legal requirements, the body was handed over to the family of the deceased. Police said that the relatives of deceased did not name anyone in the FIR as they had no enmity.—Correspondent
