PTI`s city president says police raided his DHA residence

KARACHl: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Khurram Sher Zaman on Sunday alleged that Karachi police raided his DHA residence without any warrant and harassed his family.
PTI-Karachi president, who contested the Feb 8 elections from NA-241 as an independent candidate and lost to Pakistan Peoples Party`s Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, also claimed that the raiding police team also broke the CCTV cameras installed at his home.
He said that he was not home at the time of the raid.
He took to social media and shared CCTV footage showing policemen in uniform, some in plain clothes and their mobile vans parked outside his residence.
`At around 2:30am four police mobiles with over a dozen policemen and personnel in plain clothes raided my home in DHA Phase VI. When my family questioned about the purpose of their visit and asked for any warrant, they misbehaved with the family and left. They also broke down the cameras installed outside my home.
However, when Dawn contacted DIGSouth Syed Asad Raza about allegations of the PTl leader he said: `We are looking into it but so far, we have not received any complaint in writing.
