TAXILA: A boy was killed and five people were injured in separate incidents in Attocl( on Thursday.

The 15-year-old boy was hit and killed by a car along a roadside near the telephone exchange in Haji Shah. The deceased was identified as Ihtishamul Haq.

Five people were injured when the boundary wall of a verandah collapsed in Darul Salam Colony near Qayyum Chowk. The incident occurred during a marriage ceremony.

Six held in Taxila The Wah Saddar police arrested six people after they restored to firing into the air in a bid to occupy a showroom along with GT Road on Thursday.

Subdivisional Police Officer DSP Tahir Abbas Kazmi told newsmen that the outlaws created panic in the area by opening fire with sophisticated weapons.

He said police recovered illegal weapons from the possession of teh suspects and registered a case against them.

The official also said the police nabbed a murder accused after four years on Wednesday.

He said Bilawal Khurseed shot dead a man four years ago and had gone underground. He was declared as a proclaimed offender by a local court. The police raided the hideout of the accused and arrested him.

Meanwhile, police in Attock arrested 10 drug pushers, including a woman, from different parts of the district and recovered 14.384 kilogrammes of charas and 30 litres of liquor from them.-Correspondent
