Fuel Farm Facility opened at new airport

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan`s largest and most advanced Fuel Farm Facility was inaugurated by Adviser to the Prime Minister on Aviation Division Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan at the Islamabad International Airport (IIA) on Thursday.

The facility was developed by Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Attock Petroleum (APL).

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr Khan praised PSO and APL`s efforts to serve the aviation industry by setting up the facility, saying it showed their commitment to ensuring a seamless supply of fuel to the aviation sector.

`The facility is a big step forward in effectively meeting the growing fuelling needs of the aviation industry and is all set to effectively serve the largest airport in Pakistan. I congratulate PSO and APL on this big achievement and ensure you that the government will extend the best of its support to them in all endeavours meant to positively impact Pakistan`s aviation sector and overall economic development,` he said. PSO Chief Executive Sheikh Imranul Haque said he was proud to launch the facility at Pakistan`s largest and most advanced airport. He said PSO was committed to ensuring a seamless supply of quality fuel productstoeveryindustryin the country.

APL CEO Shuaib Anwar Malik said they were proud to indigenously set up the facility, which would offer the best available systems and equipment to meet fuelling needs, from monitoring and control and safety and security to occupants`welfare.
