LAHORE: Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz chaired a joint parliamentary meeting of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan People`s Party and other coalition partners which devised a strategy for the forthcoming budget session here on Sunday.
Speaking to the participants, the chief minister claimed that his government enjoyed a majority in the Punjab Assembly and would easily get the budget passed for the next financial year.
He said the budget would be tax free to provide relief to the common people badly affected by the policies of the previous government.
He said that certain measures would be suggested in the budget tohelp the poor classesin society.
He admitted that there were multiple challenges facing the provinces but hoped that with the grace of God all the crises would be overcome and the economy would be put on track again.Staff Reporter
